Helluu! Swedish... I need to mention her mother-country because I think it has a lot to do with her goofy nature and super positive attitude. This woman is a ray of sunlight who I feel very fortunate to have in my life.

Sweden is really forward thinking in its approach to women rights, hence Nina never felt she had any reason to believe she couldn’t do what her older brother could. With that she actually beat him at trying most things and motorcycling was one of them. She makes everything look like a heap of fun and thus inspired her family and friends to follow her lead. For Nina, riding ... life.. is all about who she can share it with adding to the story of life and the adventures she can catalogue.

 

Heleana is a force of nature. The founder of In Venus Veritas and The Petrolette, and a co-founder of Rising Sun Workshop. Heleana shares her love of vintage cars, riding motorcycles, and (not-so-secretly) dreams of flying planes and piloting a riva aquariva (a la Sophia Loren) very fast through the canals of Venice. Supportive and connected, community is her lifeblood, and she is as real as they come.

ALEKSANDRA: A Firm Gripp

Aleks and her husband started Moto Shop, a Do-It-Yourself motorcycle workshop in the Bay area of San Fransisco about three years ago and have seen a slow and steady success since. Both avid riders who tinkered for years to save money on servicing their sports bikes. She admits when they had the idea for Moto Shop she didn’t expect to be involved. However as things started gaining momentum her “helping out” soon turned to number crunching and eventually being instrumental to running the business.

VICKY: The Conquest

Vicky and her machines are inseparable, they are one and the same. They are everything she is, energetic, fast, ready for anything and not to be messed with. She finds the yin in her perpetual motion yang when she can push her bikes to 120% to find that moment when time slows down and she is nowhere else.

TARA: Leaving a Trail

The road to pursuing the stuff that makes us happy, for some, seems to come fraught with fear of failure which is why so many of us stay where we are… comfortable, secure, bored. Meeting Tara was utterly refreshing, even while recovering from injuries she incurred at Dirt Quake recently, she was still smiling, passionate and sharp. Tara just goes for it, makes no excuses and doesn’t let any hype threaten the joy she gains from dirt and trail riding.
