THE AFTERSHOCK LADIES: Sydney

This past weekend at Aftershock Sydney, the second year of the event, was the first year we had enough ladies to make up a heat. Featuring Zaya, Carina, Nikki of the Foxy Fuelers, and yours truly. Four heats on the dirt track and four heats on the flat track, Carina took first place for the women's, which is pretty remarkable after missing out on one race because she dropped her loaner DT on a hair pin and couldn't get back on it! Zaya was fearless and up for a good time as always, managed to borrow a bike from a generous stranger, she came second and Nikki in third place (what she may have lacked in experience she made up for in steely determination!). Tracey (below in pink) was a technician on cornering and was also the score keeper for the weekend.

We're all sore the next day and still smiling from a super fun weekend. Bring on next year (and more women)!
