THE THROTTLE DOLLS RIDE: Sydney

The Gods were kind to The Throttle Dolls on this Sunday morning in Sydney, just before we got some unusually violent weather, it was a perfect sunny morning to ride through the northern suburbs of the City through some of our prettiest coastal roads. The Dolls coordinated another big ride for all male and female riders alike and was the first time they opened doors to the demand on them from other women who want to be a Doll.

Starting at Dues Ex Machina in Camperdown, I rode for part of the day and captured these images at a midway point of the ride. Erica and Nina were (understandably) pretty overwhelmed by the support and the numbers who turned out, everyone who attended where in good spirits.

It was great to meet other women on the ride who normally wouldn't appear on group rides, for some this was their first. It was especially lovely to meet more ladies from The Foxy Fuelers. With so few of us ladies on rides, it's always a good feeling to know we're all supporting each other.

Heleana is a force of nature. The founder of In Venus Veritas and The Petrolette, and a co-founder of Rising Sun Workshop. Heleana shares her love of vintage cars, riding motorcycles, and (not-so-secretly) dreams of flying planes and piloting a riva aquariva (a la Sophia Loren) very fast through the canals of Venice. Supportive and connected, community is her lifeblood, and she is as real as they come.
